Day 7

Today we were able to accomplish our goals in coming to Honduras and so much more. We finished construction on every project and applied kid friendly/colorful paint jobs to all of the projects. So far the kids have been fascinated by the tunnel and want to play with everything. This is my third time visiting LHBH with the Peugeot Center and it's easily the most proud I've felt about my team and our work. Our team also had the opportunity to teach another two groups of children about the story of Jesus feeding the 5000, where Mariluz led the way by reading the story to the children in Spanish. The children then had the chance to explore their creativity by drawing and coloring the loaves and the fishes, while also taking the time to worship and play.

Our team synergy has been fantastic and it's been a blast to learn from and get know each and every member of it. Everyone has been working so hard and the results of our labor reflect that.

In addition to the playground project, we were able to survey the water supply today and collected all of the data that we will need to improve supply of water to LHBH. PS: If you try to plug up a water pipeline with nothing but your fingers, you might just end up with an unwelcome shower.

After we finished all of our work today, we headed for the beach for some much needed rest and relaxation after a hard weeks work. The ocean water felt amazing and the public showers at the beach provided us with the first warm showers that we've had since reaching LHBH. After enjoying the beach we had a very nice dinner at a restaurant on the beach with a lot of the staff and friends that we've had the chance to get to know throughout the week. It will be sad to leave Trujillo tomorrow, but as always it's been a pleasure to serve the Lord with our friends at LHBH and to spend time with the kids. I plan to come back again for my fourth trip and I'm hoping to have some of my teammates on this trip at my side.
