Day 6

As another day comes to a close, a few things have remained the same, God is still forever present and every meal is amazing. The construction of the tunnel, drum set, and xylophones have all been completed. The team worked their tails off today and it paid off! We were able to get one coat of paint on the back side of the tunnel, where the rock climbing wall will be, just before dinner.

We visited another church this evening, and though most of us could not fully understand the message being delivered, I believe we all felt the presence of the Holy Spirit.

We went to an ice cream shop in downtown Trujillo and I’ve never seen a place with so many different flavors of ice cream! Looking out into the ocean from the Trujillo sign, was beautiful. We had one hiccup throughout the day, the water ran out for the showers, sinks, and toilets. So Luke, Caleb, and I improvised when it started to downpour. It was a new experience showering in the rain, but it was one of the most refreshing showers I’ve ever had. This trip has been one of, if not the best, experience of my life. I would take hot nights, showers in the rain, and a language barrier all over again to help this amazing ministry and children here at LHBH. I believe these children, staff, and people in Trujillo will leave an even greater impact on our lives, than what we will leave on theirs!

Me quiero dormir ahorita. God Bless, Tanner Wesp
