Reconnecting with Honduran Friends

Our team will focus on developing new projects with our friends at HOI near San Estaban, Olancho, Honduras and also reconnecting with our very first missions partner, Predisan Medical Clinic, in Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras.

(Our past partnership with HOI focused around a bridge that allows their school children to safely cross the street to access both campuses.)

This year we will be providing STEM enrichment activities for the children at the elementary and middle schools sponsored by HOI. We will also be evaluating future engineering opportunities with HOI.

During the week, a smaller group of Lipscomb Engineers will travel to Catacamas to visit our friends at Predisan and explore ways we can work together in the future. One possible project we will be investigating is a solar power system.

(Our most recent project with Predisan was a radio repeater that allowed rural clinics to communicate with a base clinic.)
