Brotherhood of the Black Glove

Things are looking up for our sanitation system. After doing some last checks today we were able to correct some setting on the controls and verify that the battery bank was recharging. At around 1:30pm we were at 99% so we feel good about it making it till next week when six more panels will be reconnected to the four that are working (if all goes as planned).

This has been a fun but very intense work trip for the three of us. Looking back we are humbled to have been able to take part in the story of the Village of Hope and give thanks for the brotherhood that has grown from the combination of hard labor and wholesome laughter. We jokingly call our selves "the Brotherhood of the Black Glove" because we were always wearing black rubber gloves when dealing with anything connected to the sewage.

Thank you for joining us on this journey by praying for us and reading our stories. Really, this is only the beginning of the story. Maybe one day you too will join the brotherhood of the black glove here in Ghana! ;-)

This is the end of our posts for a few weeks. Soon we will be working towards our next trip in May. Until then...

Blessings,

Bryant L., Caleb M., & Caleb J.
