Surf's Up!

What's Up Dudes!

Bryant here from your friendly neighborhood Ghana engineering team. As we enter into our final days at the Village of Hope, we put the finishing touches on our projects and spent the rest of the day debriefing.

In the morning, we spent most of our work time creating a final report for the sanitation project, and took our final flow rate data as we concluded our war against the sewage. After we finished the report, the students and staff of Hope College thanked us for the work we've done and prayed for us as they send us back to the United States.

After lunch, we went to the beach to shred some gnarly waves! We spent time in the water, explored the beach, and soaked in the sun as we relaxed and recovered from the work we have done. It was Salah's first time ever going to the beach, and we all were privileged to be a part of enjoying this new experience with him.

Once we got back from the beach, we ran final checks on the solar power system at Hope College, and explained to the faculty what their new system is capable of doing. Then we went back to the beach resort to treat our gracious guests to a nice dinner, and we shared conversation, laughter, and wisdom with each other.

At the conclusion of the day, we debriefed from the trip. We discussed what we have seen God do throughout our time here, and how we want to build on this on our return home.

As we conclude our last day here and gear up for our trip back to the land of the free, I have realized how filled with life and joy our short two week stay has been. God has been so present in our team and in the Village of Hope, and has walked with us through every step of this process.

Can't wait to see y'all on Saturday! Oh, and Mrs. Webb, Sam says hi.
